Teen Creative Camp: Screenwriting Summer Camp Dates: June 23–27, 2025 Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM Ages: 13–17 This immersive week-long experience introduces students to the art of storytelling for the screen. Campers will learn the fundamentals of screenwriting—character development, dialogue, structure, pacing, and formatting—while building confidence in their voice and creativity. By the end of the week, each participant will have developed their own short film script, ready for the next step: production! Throughout the week, campers will master story foundations and brainstorm original ideas. They will develop compelling characters and conflicts through engaging writing exercises, focusing on the art of visual storytelling and crafting powerful dialogue. Campers will dive into script structure and refine their work through rewriting techniques, and wrap up the week by participating in table reads, receiving feedback from peers and instructors, and finalizing their script for production.
